Phase 2 Common Area

Temporary trip hazard signs were placed on the common area near the mailboxes on 11/18. This action follows many attempts to get Chesapeake to take responsibility for the trip hazard that was caused by the landscape company they hired to “fix/approve” the grass in these areas. Safety of Owners is the Boards number one concern and is moving forward to remove the trip hazard asap.

Step 1 is to remove the trip hazard caused by the landscape netting. All attempts to remove this with hand tools have failed. The netting will most likely be scrapped out with a skid steer loader – obtaining quotes for this now. Unfortunately, this will leave exposed dirt/sand in the areas where the netting existed. However, the netting will be gone and the trip hazard it has caused.

Step 2 the Board/Landscape committee are working as quickly as possible towards coming up with a plan of action for after the netting is removed.
